What championship do Team ClearCom race in?
Ducati 1098s
Well the season started badly for dean with a blown gearbox that would see him miss the opening round at brands hatch, a bitter disappointment to him as his main sponsor Philip had taken up the challenge and was ridding the Ducati 999 in the rookie 1000cc class. With dean having to be mechanic for the weekend, which was overall a success with Philip getting two fourth place finishes and a second place in the race on Sunday morning. With Dean's bike delivered back complete with new Nova Race gearbox it was off to Brand Hatch testing. With the test complete and a bike seemingly running ok it was off to the next round with some optimism. But all was not well as the bike developed a miss fire and yet again dean was sidelined. With the prospect of not racing it was decided that dean would compete using the Ducati 999 until the mystery fault was fixed, tested and proven to be no more, (this would prove to be a pain staking and time consuming process), With the fault eventually being a hair line crack in the front cylinder barrel, Engine rebuilt by Mark at Go Racing Developments. By now we were over half way through the season and Dean had had some enjoyable results on a bike considerably underpowered compared to the 180+ BHP of the front runners. With only a few races left till the end of season it was a far from ideal situation in the championship but all things considered we had done better than we could have hoped for. The next round was again at Brands Hatch as the Champion of Brands title was up for grabs with both Dean and Philip competing in their respective classes. With the weekend going well for both bikes they came away in buoyant moods and are now testing at Lydden hill race circuit ready for The Final Round Of the Season "Lord Of Lydden" at the end of Oct.
